What is different here

What makes marketing an online store different

01

Ads bring traffic, the product page does not convert

Paying for clicks that land on a thin page is the most common leak. We rebuild the product page around what a shopper needs to see before buying: video, clear benefits, reviews, shipping and returns.

02

Nobody can pick the product up

Photos and video are the only way a shopper experiences what you sell. We edit your clips into product videos that show size, texture and use the way a store shelf would.

03

Creative fatigue pushes ad costs up

When the same ad runs too long, the cost of each sale tends to climb. We cut new hooks and variations from footage you already have, so there is always fresh creative to test.

04

Carts abandoned at the last step

Surprise shipping costs and a clumsy checkout lose orders that were nearly won. We bring shipping and return terms forward and remove friction between the cart and the payment.

So we start from the path a shopper takes from first view to paid order, then choose the creative, pages and ads that fix its weakest step.

The short guide

Ecommerce marketing guide: from first view to paid order

What does ecommerce marketing actually include?

Ecommerce marketing is not one activity. It is a chain: creative that makes someone stop scrolling, an ad or a search result that brings them to the store, a product page that answers their questions, a checkout that does not surprise them, and a reason to come back. An ecommerce marketing agency should be able to work on every link, or at least see all of them.

The weak link sets the result. Strong ads that land on a thin product page pay for visits that leave. A beautiful store with no traffic sells nothing. Good traffic and a good page still lose the order if the shipping cost only appears at the last step. That is why we look at the whole path before recommending where to spend.

What makes a product video or UGC ad work?

Online, photos and video are the only way a shopper experiences the product. A video has to do what hands do in a store: show the size next to something familiar, the texture up close, how it opens, fits, pours or switches on, and how it looks in an ordinary home and not only in a studio. The first seconds carry the hook: a problem, a result or a question the viewer recognizes.

UGC-style ads work because they feel like a recommendation rather than a commercial, but they still need structure: hook, demonstration, proof, offer. In UGC video editing we cut several openings for the same body, so you can test which hook holds attention without filming again.

Creative fatigue is the other reason volume matters. When the same ad runs too long, the people who have already seen it stop responding and the cost of each sale tends to climb. A steady supply of new variations made from footage you already have is usually less work than a new shoot every time performance drops.

Why do shoppers visit, add to cart and still not buy?

When ads bring traffic and sales do not follow, the product page is the first place to look. Common gaps are too few images, no video, a description that lists specifications without saying what the product does for the buyer, reviews buried far down the page, and no clear answer on sizing, compatibility or delivery time. Good product page design puts those answers where the eye lands first, especially on a phone.

Cart abandonment has its own causes. The most familiar is a surprise: a shipping cost, a tax line or a delivery date that only appears at the final step. Others are forced account creation, too few payment options and a cart that is awkward on mobile. Showing shipping and return terms on the product page and in the cart, allowing guest checkout and trimming every unneeded field removes much of the friction a store can control.

Which channels work for ecommerce brands?

Search captures demand that already exists. Google Shopping ads show your product image, title and price to someone typing what they want, and they depend on a clean, accurate product feed. Ecommerce SEO earns the unpaid results for collection and product searches. It takes longer, but that traffic does not stop when the budget does.

Paid social creates demand. Meta ads for ecommerce and TikTok ads for ecommerce put the product in front of people who were not looking for it, which is why the creative usually matters more there than the targeting settings. Organic social keeps the brand present between purchases and gives new visitors something to check before they trust you.

Most stores need a mix, weighted by margin, price point and how often customers reorder. A small catalog with a visual product may lean on paid social, while a wide catalog of items people already search for often starts with Shopping and SEO. We recommend the mix after looking at your numbers, not before.

What rules apply to product claims, reviews and UGC ads?

In the United States, the Federal Trade Commission expects advertising to be truthful and not misleading, and expects a brand to have evidence for objective claims before it makes them. That applies to product pages, ads, video scripts and captions alike. If a claim about performance, ingredients, savings or results cannot be backed up, it does not belong in the copy.

Reviews and testimonials have to be genuine, and a paid or gifted relationship with a creator has to be disclosed clearly, including when that video runs as a paid ad. Prices, shipping costs and return policies should be easy to find before checkout, and shopping platforms expect the same accuracy in the product feed you submit to them.

Cookie banners, tracking and privacy notices depend on where your customers are, because a number of states have their own privacy laws and the requirements differ. We write and build with these points in mind and flag any claim that needs support. This is general information, not legal advice; your brand and its counsel have the final word on compliance.

How do you choose an ecommerce marketing agency?

Ask three things. Do they make the creative themselves, or only manage campaigns on whatever you supply? Do they look at the product page and checkout, or stop at the click? And what do they report on: orders and revenue against spend, or impressions and reach? An agency that answers plainly, and admits what it does not do, is one that knows its job.

Then check ownership. Your ad accounts, store, domain, product feed, tracking data and customer list should stay in your name, with the agency working through access you grant. Be wary of anyone who promises a specific return on ad spend before seeing your margins, your product and your past results. Nobody can honestly guarantee sales.

What drives the cost of ecommerce marketing?

Cost depends on how many videos and ad variations you need each month, how much raw footage there is to work through, whether the store needs design or development work, how many products need new pages, how many channels we manage and whether paid campaigns are included. Ad spend is paid to the platforms directly from your own accounts and is set separately.

We do not publish flat rates, because a brand with three products and a brand with three hundred rarely need the same scope. After a short call we send a written proposal with a defined scope, price and timeline, so you can weigh it against what each order is worth to your business.
