Home Services Marketing & Contractor Website Design When something breaks, they call
the first name they trust.

We build the website, map presence, ads and job-site videos that help homeowners find you and call when they need help now — one team for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing and other trades.

What is different here

Why home services marketing needs its own playbook

01

The call goes to whoever shows up first

A homeowner with no heat or a leaking pipe does not compare ten companies. We work on what puts you in front of that search: local SEO, Google Business Profile optimization, Local Services Ads and a fast mobile site.

02

Reviews and the map pack decide the call

People read the stars and the latest reviews before they dial. We help you set up a simple, honest way to ask every customer for a review, and keep your profile complete, current and full of real job photos.

03

A missed call is a job for a competitor

We make the phone number and the request form impossible to miss, send every form to a person who answers, and set up tracking so you can see which calls and requests came in and from where.

04

Busy seasons, then quiet months

We plan the calendar ahead: tune-up and maintenance-plan offers before the season turns, promotions for the slow months, and ad budgets that move with demand instead of running flat all year.

So we start with how homeowners in your service area search and call, then build the pages, ads and content around that.

The short guide

Home services marketing guide: from local search to booked jobs

What does home services marketing include?

Home services marketing is the work of being found, trusted and called by homeowners in the areas you serve. It covers a contractor website that loads fast and makes calling easy, local SEO and Google Business Profile optimization, paid search and Local Services Ads, reviews, and content that shows real jobs done by your real crew.

The same chain applies whether you need HVAC marketing, plumber marketing or roofing marketing. Someone has a problem, searches, sees a few names, checks reviews and calls. Every link has to hold: visibility in the search, proof on the profile, a page that answers the question, and a phone or form that reaches a person.

Offline pieces still matter in the trades. Trucks, yard signs, door hangers and mailers put your name in a neighborhood where you are already working. We design those so they match the website and ads; your own printer or wrap shop produces them.

How do contractors show up in the Google map pack?

For most urgent searches, Google shows a map with a short list of local businesses above the regular results. Google describes local results as based mainly on relevance, distance and prominence. You cannot change where the customer is standing, but you can make your profile relevant and well established.

Google Business Profile optimization means choosing accurate categories, listing every service you offer, setting your real service area and hours, adding photos of actual jobs, and answering reviews and questions. Your website backs this up with a clear page for each service and each city or county you cover, and with consistent business details wherever your company is listed.

Local SEO for contractors is steady work rather than a one-time fix. Nobody outside Google controls the results, and nobody can honestly promise a position in the map pack. What we can do is cover the fundamentals properly and keep improving them month after month.

Why do before and after videos work for contractors?

A homeowner cannot inspect your work before hiring you, so they look for evidence. A short before and after video of a real roof, a remodeled bathroom or a replaced furnace shows the starting problem, the crew at work and the finished job in under a minute. It answers the question every customer has: will they do this properly at my house?

You do not need a film crew for most of this. Your technicians record clips on their phones following our simple shot list: the before, a few moments during the job, the after, and a short word from the tech about what was done. We handle the before and after video editing, captions, licensed music and sizing for each platform.

One job can feed several places: a reel for Instagram and Facebook, a short for YouTube, a clip on the matching service page, a post on your Google Business Profile and an ad cut. Longer project video editing, such as a full remodel walkthrough, works well on the website where people are deciding whether to request an estimate.

Which marketing channels bring calls for home service companies?

Search comes first because the need is urgent. Local Services Ads appear at the top of Google for many trades, are generally charged per lead rather than per click, and require your business to pass Google's verification for your category. Regular Google Ads, including Google Ads for plumbers, HVAC companies and roofers, give more control over keywords, service areas, schedules and landing pages.

Organic visibility takes longer to build but does not stop when the ad budget does: the map pack, your service pages and your reviews. Social media rarely produces emergency calls, yet it builds recognition in your area, shows your work and supports larger planned projects such as remodeling, landscaping or a roof replacement.

Seasonality should shape the mix. Before the busy season, promote tune-ups and maintenance plans. In slow months, run planned promotions and push the work that does not depend on the weather. A marketing calendar agreed in advance beats reacting once the phone has already gone quiet.

What advertising rules should contractors know about?

Many states require a contractor's license number to appear in advertising, and licensing rules differ by state and by trade. What applies to an electrician in one state may not apply to a landscaper in another. Check the requirements of your state licensing board for your trade and for the places where you advertise.

Reviews must be genuine. FTC rules prohibit fake reviews and testimonials, and review platforms apply their own policies on top of that; Google, for example, does not allow businesses to offer incentives in exchange for reviews. The safe approach is simply to ask every customer and accept what they write. Pricing, financing and warranty claims in your ads and on your website must also be accurate and match what the customer actually receives.

This is general information, not legal advice. The contractor is responsible for licensing and compliance in its state. We display the license numbers, offers, financing terms and warranty wording that you provide, and we ask when something looks missing so you can confirm it with your licensing board or attorney.

How do you choose a contractor marketing agency?

Ask what you will actually receive each month and how the work will be reported. A useful report shows calls and form requests by source, not only clicks and impressions. Ask who writes the content and edits the video, and whether they understand the difference between an emergency call and a planned project.

Be careful with anyone who promises a map pack position or a set number of leads. Search rankings and ad auctions are controlled by the platforms, and demand moves with weather and season. An honest contractor marketing agency explains what it controls, what it does not, and how it will respond when the numbers change.

Keep ownership in your name: the Google Business Profile, ad accounts, website, domain and lead data. If you change agencies later, your reviews, history and tracking should stay with your company rather than leaving with the vendor.

What drives the cost of home services marketing?

Cost depends on scope. The main factors are the number of trades and service areas you cover, whether you need a new website or improvements to an existing one, how many service and city pages have to be written, how many videos are edited each month, how many channels we manage, and whether paid campaigns are included.

Ad spend is separate. It is paid directly to Google or Meta from your own account, and the right level depends on how competitive your trade is in your market and how many jobs your crews can take on. Design work for wraps, signs and mailers is quoted as design only; printing and installation are billed by your printer or wrap shop.

We do not publish flat rates because a one-truck plumber and a multi-location HVAC company do not need the same plan. After a short call we send a written proposal with a defined scope, price and timeline, so you can see what is included before you decide.
